Kimi Räikkönen loses his race engineer
Kimi Räikkönen will have to adapt to a new race engineer since Dave Greenwood has decided to return to Manor.
For three seasons, Dave Greenwood held the position of race engineer for Kimi Räikkönen. It was therefore his voice that could be heard on the Finnish driver’s radio, and the two men had a very close relationship.
However, according to information from Corriere dello Sport, the Briton has decided to leave the Scuderia for personal reasons. Ferrari suffers from being one of the few teams not based in England, which poses significant constraints for the families of those involved. This is why Adrian Newey has always refused the advances of the Scuderia to avoid having to either leave his family in England or bring them to Italy.
Dave Greenwood is leaving F1 to return to his former employer. Indeed, he will be joining the ranks of Manor, which has committed to LMP1, where he held the position of chief engineer before joining Maranello.
