Red Bull to use Earin headphones
Away from the big headphones of other brands, Red Bull drivers will now be using Earin headphones.
In recent years, headphones have become real fashion accessories, with various brands now offering very large and visible headphones to provide peace to those who wear them while maximizing brand exposure to the outside.
Thus, many athletes use their headphones to isolate themselves and avoid responding to journalists before or after a competition. F1 drivers are not unfamiliar with the phenomenon, especially during the driver’s parade before the race. Bose fully benefited from its association with Mercedes when Lewis Hamilton uses its headphones on such occasions. It can be remembered that Nico Rosberg made an impression when he did the same at the Abu Dhabi finale.
But the Red Bull drivers will not be able to benefit from such a distancing element since the team’s new partner, Earin, boasts of having the lightest earphones on the market. They will therefore be more used during the intense physical training sessions that drivers must face to meet the physical demands of their new single-seaters, as explained by Christian Horner, the team director: « Our drivers are young and spend a lot of time on their phones and social media. Partnering with a brand like Earin offers them a WiFi solution to easily listen to music during their training sessions and in their free time. It is therefore certain that Earin will become an integral part of their daily lifestyle. »
The one-year agreement between the two partners only concerns the recreational aspect of the pilots’ activities, and these headphones will therefore not be used as radios in the single-seaters.
