Sauber continues to recruit
It's investment time at Sauber, with the arrival of additional reinforcements. Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau takes charge of aerodynamics, while Ruth Buscombe takes charge of team strategy.
The Singapore Grand Prix marks the arrival of Xevi Pujolar as the head of the team’s engineering, which was announced last month.
But the recruitments did not stop there, as the team led by Monisha Kaltenborn now has a new head of aerodynamics. He is the Frenchman Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau. It is, therefore, a heavyweight in his field joining Hinwil, as he previously held the same position at Ferrari and then at Lotus. He left Enstone last January during the shareholder change and the takeover by Renault.
The next stage of the world championship will also see the arrival of a new person on the pit wall. In fact, at Sepang, Ruth Buscombe will join Sauber as a strategy engineer. Although the Briton is only 26 years old, she will be working with her third team, having already worked for Ferrari before joining Haas during the winter. Her time with the American team will therefore have been very short.
Sauber is therefore in the process of recruiting many employees from other teams, which is promising for the future. But the short-term urgency is to be able to get back to scoring points, before overtaking Manor again.
