Wihuri strengthens collaboration with Williams
Partners since 2012, Williams and Wihuri will be strengthening their collaboration as the team provides its expertise for the Finnish brand's product development.
Upon his arrival in the Williams fold, Valtteri Bottas also brought in two Finnish sponsors, including the Wihuri conglomerate. While the conglomerate enjoys visibility on the car, on the side of the front wing thanks to its logo, it will now allow one of its subsidiaries to benefit from this agreement, as explained by Paul McNamara, the Technical Director of Williams Advanced Engineering: “Williams has worked closely with Wihuri for several years on marketing campaigns. We will now expand this to technological collaboration.”
Thus, the company Vilakone Oy is specialized in the construction of vehicles designed for leaf collection or street sweepers. Williams is expected to bring its expertise in the field of hybridization and electrification of vehicles to enable Vilakone Oy to offer a zero-emission pallet truck.
Such a development will allow us to position ourselves for bids in cities where environmental constraints are becoming increasingly important: « With a major city like Helsinki implementing a zero-emission strategy for the future, having a zero-emission product will be a significant advantage for Vilakone.
