Hilton extends with McLaren until 2019
On the occasion of its national Grand Prix in Austin, the Hilton hotel chain announced that it has extended its partnership with McLaren until 2019.
Austin is like a return to roots for Hilton since the chain was founded in Cisco, Texas, which is only 300 kilometers from the state capital.
But above all, the United States remains her main market. It is therefore logical that she wishes to maximize her visibility for this event. Extending such a contract allows her to do so, as she will be present on the pontoons of Fernando Alonso’s and Jenson Button’s single-seaters throughout the weekend, as well as next week in Mexico.
Aligi Gardenhi, the vice president in charge of marketing for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, explained how the company benefits its clients through this partnership: “It is through these strategic partnerships that we continue to be able to offer Hilton HHonors members exciting, authentic, and unique experiences that they can enjoy by using their points on the Hilton HHonors auction site.”
It is thus interesting to note that it is not just their logo that will be displayed but the website name, Hilton.com, with the mention “book directly.” This aligns with the message that other hotel chains, like AccorHotels, want to convey: no longer relying on booking platforms like Booking or Expedia. They are therefore trying to encourage customers to make their reservations on their websites, attracting them with specific discounts or exclusive bonuses.
