Simple reprimand for Mercedes
The FIA has decided not to sanction Mercedes for disguising Nico Rosberg's car during the first free practice session.
More fear than harm for Mercedes: the FIA stewards have decided that there is no need to penalize the team, even though they found that the sporting regulations had indeed been violated.
Nigel Mansell and his colleagues have thus shown leniency in order not to artificially reshuffle the cards of a weekend, which is expected to be very tight and where the championship lead could change hands.
