Randstad extends its partnership with Williams

The presence of Randstad is a great example of the benefits of signing long-term agreements with a sports team. Indeed, in 10 years, Williams has experienced ups and downs, before enjoying a true renaissance season in 2014.

The new agreement is said to be multi-year. If we look at past announcements, we can estimate that it should extend over two additional seasons. This allows for the implementation of an activation program throughout the entire period of the agreement. Claire Williams, the director of the eponymous team, stated: “We are thrilled to announce the new commercial agreement with one of our most loyal partners. The extent of this sponsorship demonstrates the attractiveness of the Williams Martini Racing brand as well as a shared confidence that the team has the necessary tools to continue the impressive form shown in 2014. Randstad is a fantastic partner: they use the full marketing arsenal that an association with a Formula One team can allow on a global scale.”

The leader also mentioned new synergies to be developed between the two partners. An example was provided in the process, with the announcement of the creation of an academy specializing in engineering. The ten students who will be part of this program will be selected from high school students aged 16 to 18 who have reached the world finals of the “F1 in Schools” program.

Randstad will bring its expertise in e-learning and its global presence to help Williams support these students for seven years. Pat Symonds, the team’s technical director, explained the investment put in place: « Formula One is a human capital-based activity, and companies like Williams depend on their ability to attract the best talent in order to stay at the forefront. Too often, young engineering students lack the information and guidance necessary to secure a job in this sport. This new academy will help break down these barriers. »
