Sunday: Vergne and Kvyat very disappointed at Toro Rosso

Jean-Eric Vergne (No. 25) – 13th

The Parisian wanted only one thing at the end of the race, to move on to the next race: « It was an extremely frustrating race. We need to understand why we had to save so much fuel. It’s really a shame because the guys did an excellent job giving us a very good car, which I felt was really great throughout the race. The start was very positive, we were attacking as much as possible but then, I had to stop, even though I felt I could do an excellent job. »

Daniil Kvyat (No. 26) – 14th

Like his teammate, the local driver had a difficult race due to a car that was too fuel-hungry: « Aside from the fact that I couldn’t immediately find the right grip, we had to worry too much about fuel consumption compared to others. This is something we need to understand, so as not to lose performance for this reason in the future. »
