Saturday: Kamui Kobayashi could not compete with his Caterham against Jules Bianchi

Kamui Kobayashi (#10) – 20th and 20th

The Japanese driver from Caterham managed to improve his car compared to yesterday and was able to extract the maximum from it in qualifying, but it wasn’t enough to beat the two Marussia cars: « I got the best out of the car in qualifying, and our result was the best we could do today. »

For him, the most important thing before departure is to sleep because he knows the physical challenge will be significant. He stated: « Tomorrow will be a long and demanding race. So I need to get a good night’s sleep and come back tomorrow ready to fight in the streets of Singapore! »

He certainly remembers that on the streets of Monaco, he was close to achieving a feat, before being overtaken by Jules Bianchi.

Marcus Ericsson (No. 9) – 22nd and 22nd

The Swedish rookie once again faced issues with his car. During the third practice session, he was simply without telemetry, which affected his preparation for qualifying: « I have to thank the whole team for their efforts to enable me to get out in time to do a timed lap. I am disappointed with the final result because we could have done better today if we hadn’t had these technical problems. »

He can only hope that all these problems will be resolved by tomorrow so that he can compete in the entire race.
