Friday: Promising Pérez for Force India, Hülkenberg in trouble
After giving Daniel Juncadella 30 minutes of running in FP1, the two main drivers took back their seats. Sergio Pérez is satisfied with his F1 while Hülkenberg struggles to find the right settings.
Sergio Pérez (No. 11) – 8th and 11th
The Mexican already sees very good possibilities for the future: « Today was a promising start to our weekend, and we managed to do everything we had planned. We already have a good pace, especially during long stints, where we seem competitive. Now, it’s mainly about working correctly to have a good qualification tomorrow and thus take advantage of our strengths. »
Nico Hülkenberg (n°27) – 10th and 12th
Unlike his teammate, the German is not satisfied with the behavior of his car: I simply did not find the balance and harmony I was looking for, and it showed on the stopwatch. So we need to delve into the data to see what we can improve for tomorrow. Aside from that, it was a successful day in terms of tire work and collecting data on race pace.
