Daniel Ricciardo and Christian Horner sit down at the table
Red Bull took advantage of the arrival of the Formula One Circus in Monza to organize a recreational event to celebrate the commercial launch of the new watch range from its partner Casio. Daniel Ricciardo and Christian Horner held a race to serve aperitivos to the members of the press present in the Monza paddock.
The Australian driver thus highlighted his Italian origins to explain his participation in this challenge: « As anyone with Italian blood in their veins will tell you, food is important. It was a lot of fun to launch the second edition of Casio Edifice today. Nothing replaces racing at home but I must say Monza is just behind and participating in the Casio launch clearly kicked off the weekend for Sunday. »
In order to measure the performances of the two Red Bull employees, a Michelin-starred chef, Tom Sellers, joined the competition: « What a fantastic event to participate in. I’ve always been a fan of Formula 1. So, it’s an exceptional experience for me. I apply speed and precision in my cooking, just like an F1 driver. »
It was interesting to note that during this event, which was held on the first floor of Red Bull’s impressive motorhome, Sebastian Vettel and Jean-Eric Vergne were quietly dining on the ground floor. Were they discussing their respective futures beyond the realm of the energy drink? The coming weeks and months will tell…
