Hockenheim has decided to take advantage of the ongoing Football World Cup by launching a special promotion: for each goal scored by the German team in the first round, the circuit offers a discount of 11 euros on the price of each ticket purchased within the next 48 hours!

This promotion has been valid since the start of the World Cup. The 4:0 victory of Germany against Portugal translated into a 44 euro discount on tickets. This shows that the circuit is far from being sold out, even though the Grand Prix is only a month away and ticket sales remain the only source of revenue left by the FOM.
If the communication effect is significant, the impact on sales should still be limited since the organizers have taken the precaution of implementing some safeguards to avoid the operation becoming too costly for them.
