Saturday: Improvement for Sauber with Sutil in Q2, Gutiérrez stuck in Q1
The Swiss team thinks they have slightly improved. However, only Adrian Sutil managed to reach Q2.
Adrian Sutil (No. 99) – 13th and 14th
The German driver is satisfied with the behavior of his car in the rain and hopes for a wet race: « We made a lot of setup changes for wet conditions and we are satisfied with the car’s performance. Now, we hope to have a good race tomorrow. If the conditions are dry during the race, I believe it will be difficult for us. However, we have to look forward and try to improve our positions. »
Esteban Gutiérrez (No. 21) – 15th and 17th
After encountering a problem with his brake-by-wire system and making a mistake on his last fast lap, the young Mexican couldn’t get past Q1: « For tomorrow’s race we will need to be consistent and seize every opportunity. That’s the only way to move forward.»
