State “stable” for Michael Schumacher

While some reports in the German press suggested the possibility of Michael Schumacher remaining in a coma for life, others indicated a possible improvement in his condition with a potential short-term awakening from the coma.

In order to put an end to the speculation surrounding the health of the seven-time world champion, his spokesperson released a statement: « Unfortunately, I must reiterate that any information regarding Michael’s health not coming from the doctors treating him or his management should be treated as pure speculation. »

Sabine Kehm also explains that for the moment, Schumacher’s condition is still stable: I also repeat that Michael’s family is very happy and confident about the work of the medical team taking care of Michael, and they have full trust in them. Michael’s condition is still considered stable.

As a reminder, Michael Schumacher has been in a coma since December 29, the date of his admission to the Grenoble hospital following a skiing accident, during which he was wearing a helmet and hit his head on a rock.
