Kimi Räikkönen prepares for 2014 in Maranello
Kimi Räikkönen is present in Maranello, at the Scuderia Ferrari factory, at the beginning of this week to prepare for the 2014 season. The Finn will notably spend time in the simulator with this in mind.
Kimi Räikkönen, having moved from Lotus F1 to Scuderia Ferrari for 2014, began working with his new team this Monday in Maranello, at the Italian team’s factory. He will stay there until tomorrow, Wednesday, and during this time, the Finn will spend time in the simulator to acclimatize to the Reds’ procedures.
It’s nice to be back at work. I’ve started getting used to all the new systems and procedures that will be used this year. From this perspective, the simulator is really very useful. It’s true that there’s a lot to do, but the workload isn’t very different from what it was in the past. For me, these days in Maranello are also an opportunity to be with the team and spend a bit more time with my many friends here.
This will be an opportunity for Räikkönen to reconnect with the team that enabled him to secure his only world championship title to date, in 2007, and to start his second career with the Prancing Horse in the best possible way.
