Pirelli soon testing with Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari in Bahrain?

During the last race of the 2013 season in Brazil, Pirelli brought prototype tires for the teams to use during the first free practice. However, this practice session was disrupted by rain, so these tires were hardly used.

From then on, the Italian manufacturer campaigned to conduct tests with a view to developing compounds for the 2014 season. And according to the Italian press, Pirelli is expected to carry out three days of testing in the coming days with a view to 2014.

The Milan firm could thus head to Bahrain from December 17 to 19 to conduct tests and run a Ferrari, a Mercedes, and a Red Bull. According to *Autosprint*, the Lotus team was also invited but declined the offer due to the costs associated with these tests, particularly from a logistical standpoint. Still according to the Italian media, the other teams would not have been pleased not to have been invited.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, these tests are being carried out to prepare for 2014 and each team has the opportunity to send an observer. Additionally, each team should receive the data collected during these three days of testing.
