Friday: The Williams drivers were able to do some testing despite the rain
Valtteri Bottas and Pastor Maldonado did not drive much today in Brazil, like their rivals, due to the rain. However, the two Williams F1 drivers are still happy with their day because they were able to learn a bit more about the Pirelli tires.
Pastor Maldonado – 17th and 14th:
This has been a limited day today due to the weather and tire restrictions. The driving conditions were difficult with a lot of aquaplaning on a track that is usually fast. I think we have a better understanding of the tires, so that’s positive, and hopefully, we can capitalize on that for tomorrow.
Valtteri Bottas – 16th and 16th:
« The rainy conditions during the two practice sessions disrupted our runs today, but we still managed to test different pressures and temperatures for the tires to gather more information. We have a lot of work to do to position the tires within their optimal operating window, especially if it rains this weekend. We will meet and analyze the data to find the best settings for tomorrow. »
