Sunday: The Marussias were not celebrating

Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton suffered from balance issues today during the race in Abu Dhabi, and both Marussia drivers believe they performed less well than in India a week ago, even though the Russian team had introduced new updates this weekend. They hope to improve things by Austin and Interlagos.

Sunday: The Marussias were not celebrating

Jules Bianchi – 20th:

I think we were quite surprised by our performance today after what seemed like an improvement in qualifying. It was a long race, I must say. The car’s balance wasn’t as hoped, and I really had to push hard to keep up with the Caterhams, which wasn’t ideal for managing the tires. I think we’ll need to analyze all of this before heading to Austin because, in theory, our new developments seemed positive. It’s been a tough weekend, so we hope things will go better in the last two races.

Max Chilton – 21st:

« It was a tough race for us today. We made good progress this weekend but for several reasons we were not able to show that today. The start was good – once again – so kudos to the team for sorting that out because in the last few races we have been very good in this area. In the race, the balance of the car was difficult and we had to fight for our pace. It’s a shame because our new developments seemed positive, but it didn’t show in the race today. On the positive side, I finished another race – that’s 17 out of 17 now – and of course we are still in 10th place in the Constructors’ Championship. I think we have a lot of work to do before Austin because we need to be strong in the last two races. »
