Saturday: Bianchi allows Marussia to get ahead of Caterham

Jules Bianchi managed to outpace both Caterhams and his teammate Max Chilton. The Frenchman hopes to maintain his position tomorrow after the start and at the finish of the race. Saturday: Bianchi allows Marussia to get ahead of Caterham

Jules Bianchi – 22nd and 19th:

This morning, I wasn’t too happy with the car’s balance but we seem to be over that and my qualifying was good. We have been very close to the Caterhams all weekend but I am pleased to finish ahead of them today. I think we will have another interesting race tomorrow, so it’s hard to make predictions, but I would obviously like to keep my starting position relative to them and perhaps some opportunities will arise.

Max Chilton – 21st and 22nd:

« It was a difficult weekend with the car’s balance and on a track where you really need to be at the top to attack with confidence. This morning, I was a little happier, but in qualifying, it didn’t work out. Having been close to the group during my first stint, I wasn’t able to improve in my second one. I am a bit more confident about my race pace, so we’ll work hard tonight to see how we can optimize things. »
