Saturday: Marussia moved closer to Caterham
The two Marussias will occupy the last row on the starting grid tomorrow, but the gap seems to have narrowed compared to the Caterhams, which bodes well for the race. However, for hindering Paul di Resta in Q1, the French driver will have to start behind his teammate.
Jules Bianchi – 21st and 22nd
« It seems that we are managing to stay with the Caterham now. Even though the gap was tighter during this morning’s practice session, I hope we can fight with them tomorrow, despite our grid penalty. We’ve done a good job improving the car’s balance and we didn’t really manage to show it in qualifying, but I am now more confident for the race. »
Max Chilton – 22nd and 21st
I am really pleased with our progress on the car over the weekend. I am also encouraged by my pace compared to Jules, who was only a tenth ahead this afternoon. We obviously cannot be certain about tomorrow’s weather, but based on our work so far, I am quite happy and look forward to the 51 laps at the Korea International Circuit tomorrow during my first race here.
