Saturday: Bottas places the Williams team in Q2
While Pastor Maldonado was eliminated in Q1, Valtteri Bottas managed to qualify for Q2. The Finn hopes to have a good race and, why not, score some points.
Valtteri Bottas – 15th and 16th:
We attack as much as possible with the car and I was delighted with my lap in Q2 because I managed to improve a little. That’s where we are in terms of pure pace, but we will do everything to make the most of it. It’s going to be a tough race for the cars and drivers tomorrow, but we have to do our best, stay in the race and seize every opportunity we have.
Pastor Maldonado – 13th and 18th:
« We encountered difficulties with the car since the first practice session this weekend, and it is very delicate to drive. We didn’t manage to get the tires working today and I had a bit of traffic towards the end. The conditions will be difficult, but we will do our best in the race tomorrow and try to get the maximum out of the car. »
