Sunday: Force India wants to keep only the positive

A very contrasting weekend between the two teammates at Sahara Force India: Paul di Resta was very pleased to finish in the gearbox of Nico Rosberg in 7th place. On the other hand, Adrian Suil is very frustrated to have encountered another problem during a tire change, which cost him the opportunity to be in the points.

Sunday: Force India wants to keep only the positive

Paul Di Resta – 7th:

« We said before the race that 7th would be a good result, and towards the end, I was even fighting for 6th place. We can take a lot of positives from this weekend since it’s a track that traditionally hasn’t suited us. It’s a great effort by the team to make it to Q3 yesterday and to finish 7th today. The result shows our consistency since the beginning of the season and that we are capable of delivering strong performances every weekend. There are a lot of things to come as well since we can further optimize the car with the new parts we’ve introduced here. It’s clearly a big result for us. »

Adrian Sutil – 13th:

« It’s extremely disappointing to leave here empty-handed because we were so fast today. My start was very good, and I went around the outside for the first corner, which worked out very well for me since I was 8th at the end of the first lap. Everything was going well until the first pit stop where we had a problem and I lost a lot of time. The team told me to turn off the engine while they fixed the issue, but that cost me the opportunity to be in the points. For the rest of the race, all I could do was push as much as possible because you never know what might happen. It’s frustrating, but you have to accept these things. Hopefully, this won’t happen again. »
