India: Check Out the TV Schedule!
The Indian Grand Prix is the 17th round of the season out of 20 scheduled in 2012. Indians, particularly Hindus, revere cows. Is it an opportunity for Red Bull to shine again after three consecutive victories from Sebastian Vettel? Find out which channels will broadcast the event this weekend and all the timings for the 2012 Indian Grand Prix F1. Take note, don't forget to change your clocks on the night from Saturday to Sunday!
First important point: the time change! This weekend will be the last Sunday in October and as every year, it’s time to change the clocks. You’ll need to set your watch back one hour.
Second unusual point: the half-hour. The time difference between France and India (more specifically New Delhi) is 4 hours and 30 minutes in winter. Therefore, this doubly unusual time must be taken into account.
TF1 will broadcast the race in its entirety from 10:25 AM (new winter time) or 11:25 AM (old time). The team of F1 à la Une will present the highlights of the practice sessions and qualifications of the 2012 Indian Grand Prix a few minutes earlier with Denis Brogniart in the TF1 studio in Paris.
Eurosport, a pay channel available on cable, the web, and as an option in ISP TV packages, will broadcast the practice sessions and qualifying live. TF1, on the other hand, will offer a condensed rebroadcast of the qualifying during the night from Saturday to Sunday, highlighting the most important moments. You’ll need to stay up late on Saturday (1:45 AM).
Attention, don’t expect to watch the Grand Prix on Sunday from the TF1 Ipad or Iphone app – it will not be broadcast. The rights are exclusively reserved for television.
Note also: As usual, the editorial team will offer you a live commentary of the qualifications on Saturday starting at 10:15 am to follow the evolving hierarchy live and in a friendly atmosphere. You will also be able to ask the editorial team your questions.
