Friday: A good day of testing for Mercedes
Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher are pleased with their test day, as both Mercedes drivers were able to complete the planned testing program. They are quite satisfied with the performance of the F1 W03, even though they know that tomorrow will be a very different day due to different track conditions.
Nico Rosberg – 3rd and 10th
«We had a good day today, even though the track temperatures were quite cool, which should not be the case for the rest of the weekend. This made it even more difficult to heat up the tires, but we were able to collect some interesting data on our long runs and we have things to study as a result. It is a very beautiful track here and I really enjoy coming to Montreal.»
Michael Schumacher – 9th and 7th
Our work was that of a typical Friday, although we used the softest tires this morning (the super-softs) to ensure we could complete our program in case of rain. This afternoon, we focused more on the settings and balance. I have a good feeling in the car, but it’s too early to make predictions for this weekend, so we will have to analyze the data tonight and go from there. I really like this circuit, so it’s very enjoyable to drive here again.
