Spain: Check out the TV schedule!

Since the Bahrain Grand Prix, where Red Bull and Lotus shone, three weeks have passed. Development, evolution, training; the Formula One Circus is therefore moving to Barcelona, Spain, for the fifth Grand Prix of the 2012 season, marking the return of F1 to Europe.

TF1 and Eurosport continue to share the broadcast of the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix. Eurosport will broadcast the free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday as well as the qualifying sessions, while TF1 will broadcast the race live, returning to traditional schedules. The qualifying sessions and the race are scheduled for 2 PM in France.

For three years, you have been able to follow the qualifications on Eurosport with a monthly or annual subscription to the Internet Player. This way, you can watch all the Grand Prix sessions (including free practice) for less than €5/month. Additionally, for the past few weeks, certain regions have been able to choose on digital terrestrial television or their ADSL TV package to subscribe to the Eurosport channel for a few extra euros on their Internet bill.

The beginning of the European season also marks the return of F1 to the spotlight. The program offered by TF1 before each race allows viewers to discover the behind-the-scenes of Formula 1 and discuss circulating news and rumors. The TF1 team will have the opportunity this year to regularly interview the three French drivers in Formula 1: Romain Grosjean, Charles Pic, and Jean-Eric Vergne. Marion Jollès is expected to handle the interviews on the grid. Christophe Malbranque, Jacques Laffite, and Jean-Louis Moncet will be in the commentators’ booth.

The Spanish GP on the Radio

You can also follow the Spanish Grand Prix, raced in Barcelona—if you don’t have a television or are on the go—by listening to it on the radio. The frequencies naturally depend on your place of residence, and several stations will broadcast the Grand Prix live. The times are therefore the same as those presented in the Live. RMC will broadcast the race and the qualifications with the show “Intégrale F1,” commented by Patrick Tambay and Jean-Luc Roy.
