TF1 will commentate on the Bahrain Grand Prix in France!

Christophe Malbranque announced on his Twitter account that the TF1 / Eurosport commentary team will not be traveling to Bahrain.

The ongoing clashes in the country and the controversy created by the relocation of F1 to the Kingdom of Bahrain have led TF1 not to send its journalists on site.

« Sorry for not being able to answer your questions. I would have liked to announce myself that TF1 wouldn’t be going to Bahrain. That’s how it is. Enjoy the GP » specifies Malbranque on his Twitter account.

He continues: « The Bahrain GP will be broadcast on TF1. Sunday: 1:45 PM F1 à la Une followed by the GP. We’re commenting from Boulogne, that’s all. Have a good race ».

Note that the Grand Prix will be broadcast as usual, but the commentary will be done from the TF1 studios in Boulogne-Billancourt.

Furthermore, Livio Oricchio, the famous correspondent for the Brazilian newspaper O Estado de Sao Paulo, has decided in agreement with his newspaper not to go to Bahrain: “We had tickets for the whole season except for Bahrain and the United States because there were doubts about whether these Grand Prix would take place. Like many journalists, I will not be in Sakhir. I always believed that the race would not happen and I am still not 100% sure that something won’t force the FIA or FOM to cancel the race,” explains the Brazilian journalist.
