This Friday marks the start of the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2011 Formula 1 season. The 17th Grand Prix of the year, without suspense, attention will turn to Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, and Jenson Button for the runner-up spot in the World Championship. It is also noteworthy that this is the first time the Formula One Circus will travel to India.

In Buddh, debates have raged in recent weeks regarding the completion of the circuit’s construction. Under construction for more than a year, the circuit was experiencing delays in its delivery. Under pressure from the FOM and Bernie Ecclestone, officials doubled the workforce to ensure everything was finally ready on time. You can discover this new track and environment starting Friday morning at 6:30 AM during the Free Practice sessions broadcast on Eurosport.

With the time difference, you’ll have to get up quite early… The qualifying and the race are scheduled for 10:30 am. Note that the qualifying sessions will not be broadcast on TF1, as is the case with all Grand Prix since the beginning of the 2011 season. A live commentary will therefore be provided by the casinoenlignefrance.eu.com editorial team. The race, however, can be followed on TF1.

Denis Brogniart will be the ringmaster before the race. As usual, Jacques Laffite and Christophe Malbranque will be in the commentators’ booth while Jean-Louis Moncet, the regular consultant, will be in the studio in Paris.

The GP of India on the Radio

You can also follow the Grand Prix if you don’t have a television by listening to it on the radio. The frequencies naturally depend on your place of residence, and several radio stations will broadcast the Grand Prix live. The hours are therefore identical to those presented in the live. RMC will broadcast the race and the qualifications.
