Ecclestone imagines Michael Schumacher as a team boss

Bernie Ecclestone, who is never short of ideas when it comes to expressing himself about F1 and the drivers, stated that he could easily imagine Michael Schumacher becoming a team owner after his driving career: “I think Michael should run his own team,” adding: “With the talent and experience he has, there is no doubt it would be a great team.”

If this hypothesis were to become reality one day, the seven-time German world champion could certainly count on the advice of former world champion drivers such as Jackie Stewart or Alain Prost, who after their careers took the leap by becoming F1 team owners. With varying degrees of success.

Bernie Ecclestone was finally reassuring about the current results of the German driver, stating that he couldn’t imagine Michael Schumacher leaving F1 before being certain he was no longer competitive or as long as he believed his team still had potential.
