Colin Kolles still aims for 10th place in the championship for HRT
For the team manager of the small Spanish structure HRT, 10th place in the constructors' championship remains a realistic goal...
Colin Kolles stated that the HRT team would be making modifications to the car in preparation for the demanding Belgian and Italian Grand Prix: “We have been working on improvements for the upcoming Grand Prix at Spa and Monza, which require different aerodynamic setups compared to previous races.” According to the German manager, these improvements should provide better stability when approaching the fast and medium-fast corners that characterize the tracks of the next two races.
However, Colin Kolles knows that things will not be simple for his team: “Regarding the races, the most difficult part will be having the best setup while considering tire degradation. We need to know what to do at the right moment.”
The objective remains, however, to get ahead of the Virgin and Team Lotus teams in the constructors’ championship: “We still need to improve to reach 10th place in the championship. All team members are working hard for this, and I want to thank them, as well as our partners and suppliers for the support they provide us.”
The HRT team, now in the hands of new owners, seems to have regained some confidence and serenity as they approach two of the most demanding Grand Prix of the F1 season…
