The British Grand Prix promised to be close after a complicated and rain-affected qualifying session. The race delivered on all its promises by giving Fernando Alonso the opportunity to lead the Grand Prix midway through.
Hamilton, Button, and now Alonso are the only drivers who have managed to stop Sebastian Vettel. The German driver, on his way to the title, was penalized by his team.
