Sunday Report: Force India – Just One Point!

Force India was very close to scoring points for both its drivers today. Paul Di Resta impresses again by securing a second consecutive 10th place finish. Adrian Sutil finishes just outside the points at Sepang, this time trailing behind his teammate. The Indian team scores again in this second race of the season and aims to do so again in China.

Sunday Report: Force India – Just One Point!

Adrian Sutil – 11th:

The first laps weren’t the best of my career. I touched Barrichello’s rear wheel and had to change my front wing… We were on a two-stop strategy. It was quite positive and effective in the race, and we could have scored some points today if we hadn’t had those issues at the start of the Grand Prix. Overall, I’m disappointed, but the team did a great job and I would like to thank them for that.

Paul Di Resta – 10th:

I’m quite happy today. I must say that the team did a great job both with the pit stops and with the strategy which worked well. In the end, I couldn’t keep Michael [Schumacher] behind me – he had new tires, so I lost a position at the last moment… We had a good race and even if we lack a bit of performance, we were fighting with more competitive teams today. It’s positive.

Dr. Vijay Mallya – Owner and Director:

Once again, we are satisfied with the race from Force India. The guys did a good job, especially during the pit stops, because with the weather conditions, it wasn’t always easy. The strategy also worked very well. Paul [di Resta] did a great job by scoring points once again. I expected Adrian [Sutil] to do the same, but his nose change penalized him significantly. Nevertheless, with a good team spirit, we are heading to China.
