In a press release, the Mercedes GP team claims they will officially launch their new single-seater on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, during the winter tests in Valencia, Spain.
The MGP-W02 – as the 2011 silver star is named – will be presented shortly before the first tests at the Valencia circuit. Photographers and the press are expected to be present from 9:20 am for the launch in front of the Mercedes GP garage.
To accompany the inauguration of the W02, Nico Rosberg as well as Michael Schumacher will be present. The team leaders and Mercedes Motorsport representatives, Ross Brawn and Norbert Haug respectively, will also be there.
As a reminder, the first tests of the 2011 season will officially take place in Spain, at the Valencia circuit from Tuesday, February 1 to Thursday, February 3. 10 days later, the winter tests will continue in Jerez, still in Spain.
