Carlos Sainz withdraws even before the start of the race in Qatar

Due to a fuel pump problem, Carlos Sainz will not be able to start the Qatar Grand Prix which takes place this Sunday.

Carlos Sainz withdraws even before the start of the race in Qatar

A statement from Ferrari just before the grid placement of the drivers explained that « due to a fuel pump problem on Carlos’s Ferrari, he will not participate in the Qatar GP. »

Carlos Sainz had qualified 12th for the Qatar Grand Prix having been eliminated from Q2. Therefore, for Scuderia Ferrari, only Charles Leclerc’s 5th position on the grid remains to hope to score points.
