Photos: A Friday in Abu Dhabi

The photos from the first day of the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are available in the “Multimedia,” “Photos” section. The United Arab Emirates complex was a grand project that was completed less than two weeks ago. The circuit represents the future of F1, and the opinions of those present are exceedingly favorable regarding the facilities. Make up your own mind with this first album of the Yas Marina Circuit.

Photos are undoubtedly the best way to closely study the details of a Formula 1 car and understand the aerodynamic innovations implemented by the engineers. There’s no need to be an expert to judge a new wing.

During the last race of the season, the photos will not be focused on the aerodynamics of the F1 cars nor even their sponsors; indeed, one can see them flourish on the Brawn GP or even on Renaults that are regaining their colors… The photos will focus on the aesthetic aspect of the circuit. An architectural masterpiece for what is the most modern complex in Formula 1.

The sunset that contributes to the atmosphere of the first day’s trials makes the photos even more beautiful. Today’s photos are still of Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2. More photos of the facilities are coming in the next few hours.
