There is indeed an official ranking in Formula 1 that allocates points according to the importance of positions achieved, with a decreasing scale of two by two for the top three positions. 10 points for the winner, 8 for the second, and 6 for the third.
This scale only rewards the drivers who finish in the top eight, and the drivers regularly within the top 10 (9th and 10th, for example) are never acknowledged, even though this position is almost as important as an eighth place which usually awards a point.
To rectify the situation, casinoenlignefrance.eu.com has invented the consistency ranking: Each driver receives a point according to their reverse order of arrival, provided they have crossed the checkered flag. In the event of a retirement, they receive no points. The first place gets 22 points, the second 21, the third 20, etc… The 22nd, if there is one, will therefore receive only one point.
In the end, we obtain a ranking based on the finishing position of each race, showing the consistency of each participant and allowing for the reward of the driver for the work he contributes to the team and not only according to his position.

This week, there are a few changes, but Button is still not the champion of the Motors Inside ranking, and everything will be decided in the last race in two weeks in Abu Dhabi. He is nevertheless still the leader ahead of his Brawn GP teammate, Barrichello (291 to 276 points). With his victory in Brazil, Webber takes back the 3rd place at the expense of Rosberg who retired in Sao Paulo. Glock drops from 5th to 8th position, allowing Hamilton, Räikkönen, and Vettel to move ahead. These last three are within 6 points of each other. Alonso remains 9th with 199 points!
Heidfeld and Trulli remain 10th and 11th while Kovalainen moves ahead of Fisichella for a point (166 against 165). Then no change at the end of the standings. Kubica is assured of at least the 14th position, followed by Nakajima and still recovering Massa. Sutil remains 17th, and Buemi surpasses the 100-point mark. Piquet, Bourdais, Grosjean, Liuzzi, and Alguersuari follow. Badoer drops one rank because the previously mentioned Spaniard scores points. Finally, in his first F1 experience, Kobayashi totals 13 points in the Motors Inside ranking.
