Everyone knows it, Ferrari is now fully focused on 2010. Therefore, there is no further development on the two F60s of Kimi Räikkönen and Giancarlo Fisichella. Moreover, the Italian is becoming increasingly discreet due to his performances with the Scuderia, which are far inferior to those with Force India during the summer.
Räikkönen, on the other hand, remains just as motivated even though Ferrari has decided to let him go. He is a winner at heart, and the second-to-last Grand Prix of the season in Brazil is no exception, as he will try to win it. Difficult racing conditions could favor him with rain or a Safety Car.
Kimi Räikkönen – Racing Driver:
Traditionally, the Interlagos circuit has always been favorable to Ferrari, and we really hope it will be the same this year, but we know it will be difficult. The crucial point will be aerodynamic support, but at the same time, it’s important to have a stable car during braking. The last corner is very important, as it leads us toward the long straight. The KERS should help us a lot. There is no doubt that this track is engraved in my memory. Two years ago, I won the drivers’ title here in Brazil, but I’ve been on the podium five times. Usually, Brazil is the last race on the calendar, but this year we have one more, the Abu Dhabi race. I really like classic circuits like Spa and Suzuka. Interlagos may not be as technical as the other two, but it is still very demanding. We drive counterclockwise, which is not very common, and weather conditions can change in a second. My goal is to be on the podium, which might not be easy. Each race is getting more difficult for us, as other teams continue to improve their cars, while we have been using the same car for a month. We must be perfect and take advantage of our competitors’ weaknesses. I will celebrate my 30th birthday on Saturday. A place on the podium would be a great gift, but as I just mentioned, our competitors will have to contribute in some way. We will try to maintain third place in the constructors’ standings.
