After experiencing the 41st week of the year 2009, here is, as every Monday for several months now, a complete round-up of the F1 news of the past week. On today’s agenda, and in the absence of a Grand Prix last weekend, the news has been less abundant. It’s Felipe Massa who has been in the spotlight with his gradual return to the world of motorsport. Robert Kubica will be a Renault driver in 2010, it’s now official while the rumor was no longer a rumor! casinoenlignefrance.eu.com will take the opportunity to update on transfer news for the upcoming season. Finally, the Brazilian Grand Prix is on the horizon and takes place in less than a week. The stakes are high, and that’s why it’s the most important Grand Prix of the year. But one driver among the 20 on the grid has already declared a withdrawal…
Massa gets back to work!
Since the beginning of last week, Felipe Massa, the currently unavailable Ferrari driver, has been back at the forefront in Formula 1. The Brazilian, who was the unfortunate victim of a spring from Rubens Barrichello’s car, kicked off his week with a bang as he was in Maranello last Monday for simulator tests. With Stefano Domenicali, there were discussions about his schedule for the upcoming days. Indeed, the FIA has authorized Massa to drive a F2007 fitted with GP2 tires to assess his general fitness. In the following days, he participated in work sessions with the entire Italian team to get back into the swing of things. An initial test date was mentioned, set for Monday, October 12. On Friday, a dramatic twist unfolded; as his preparation intensified for a return announced for the season’s final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, the Brazilian driver confessed to being 90% unprepared for this milestone. Therefore, he will have to wait for the inaugural 2010 race in Bahrain to officially be a Scuderia Ferrari driver again. This week had a single goal: to determine if he could get back into an F1 car. On Saturday, he completed his final exams in France, and the FIA saw no issue with Felipe Massa returning to F1 tracks, at least for tests, knowing that the October 12 date was confirmed.

Another confirmed for 2010: Kubica at Renault!
The official announcement was expected on Tuesday, but it finally came on Wednesday, Robert Kubica, current BMW driver, will indeed be Renault’s number 1 in 2010. So this is the second major transfer after Fernando Alonso’s move to Ferrari. Kubica is essentially taking his place, and the game of musical chairs has indeed begun. The Pole has just spent four consecutive years at BMW-Sauber, making this a significant change in his career. The name of his teammate is not yet certain since Romain Grosjean is not sure of remaining as driver number 2. Still in the transfer market, Kimi Räikkönen has garnered some new publicity! After McLaren and Toyota, Red Bull was reportedly in talks with the Finn even though their 2010 driver line-up is set. An absurdity quickly denied (the next day!) as Räikkönen’s manager claims not to be in negotiations with the Austrian team. A complete report on the transfers will be published tomorrow, Tuesday, October 13.

A promising hot Brazilian Grand Prix!
While the risk of rain will be significant on the Interlagos track this weekend, it is highly likely that one or two titles will be awarded. Indeed, in the interest of the sport, it would be magical to end the 2009 season in Abu Dhabi with some stakes involved. Unfortunately, Brawn GP and Jenson Button are ideally positioned to win the constructor and driver titles. A much less euphoric piece of news is that Timo Glock will not participate in this race weekend due to a leg injury he sustained during the Japanese Grand Prix qualifying in Suzuka. He will therefore be replaced for the entire weekend by Kamui Kobayashi. It will be a first for this young Japanese driver.
