As every Monday, it’s time for your weekly appointment on casinoenlignefrance.eu.com with the catch-up session that summarizes in one article the essential F1 news of the past week. On today’s agenda, the recent Singapore Grand Prix that wowed millions of fans around the world for the second consecutive year. It was the most showbiz event of the year with a host of stars and top-level sports, all dazzling thanks to the 4,000 spotlights and the hundreds of stars in the Singapore sky. Lewis Hamilton in his McLaren claims his second victory of the season. From the qualifications, he was unbeatable. He is followed by Timo Glock (Toyota) and Fernando Alonso (Renault). Another big headline in the news is the Renault affair, which ended this week with the verdict announced last Monday, followed by several other events directly related to this case. casinoenlignefrance.eu.com offers you a comprehensive overview of this thorny issue that could have brought the French manufacturer very low. Finally, the last headline this week is the announcement of BMW being powered by Ferrari in 2010.
When the Singapore Grand Prix rhymes with glitz and glamour…
At the end of September, the 14th event of the 2010 championship took place with the Singapore night Grand Prix. A night race, but also an urban one, and the walls were never so close! After a qualification session that ended with a red flag due to Rubens Barrichello’s accident, it was time for the race where Lewis Hamilton claimed his second victory of the season. He started on pole but had fierce competitors around him like Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel. However, both Germans had to serve a drive-through penalty due to silly mistakes that violated regulations. The first crossed the white line at the pit exit, and the other was caught speeding. The reigning world champion thus had a clear path. He was followed by two drivers not accustomed to podiums this year, with Timo Glock in second place and Fernando Alonso in third. Their teams, Toyota and Renault, are very happy with this result. Vettel ended up in 4th place and remains in the driver title race with Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, who finished 5th and 6th. These are the last three drivers who can mathematically win the coveted title. They are followed by Heikki Kovalainen and Robert Kubica, who bring additional points to their team. It was a good weekend for Brawn GP, who regained points over Red Bull. The Brackley team could be crowned as early as Sunday in Suzuka. McLaren is getting closer to the 3rd place currently held by Ferrari. However, Scuderia dropped 2009 to focus on 2010, which was immediately felt with Räikkönen and Fisichella’s poor performance in Singapore. Renault can be pleased with this result, which brightens up its tough week, even with Romain Grosjean’s retirement due to brake failure. The brakes suffered this weekend as Webber, Buemi, and Alguersuari faced the same issue. Toyota is back in the points and will fight with Williams for the 5th place in the championship. Toro Rosso and especially Force India have returned to their initial bottom-of-the-table positions. See you on Wednesday on casinoenlignefrance.eu.com for the first reactions from drivers and team principals from the Suzuka circuit in Japan, which will take place at the end of the week.

Renault’s Crisis Exit Leaves Them Singed in the Affair!
A week ago, Motors Inside had left you in suspense as the verdict on the team’s cheating was revealed last Monday night. The result is rather lenient as the French team was handed a two-year suspended sentence. In other words, they will be in F1 starting next season, but until the 2011 Singapore Grand Prix, they must not violate any regulations under penalty of being banned from the premier category of motorsport. They thus avoid immediate eviction, especially since they accept this decision, fortunately! As for the main figures in this affair, they do not fare as well. Flavio Briatore, former team director, is banned for life from F1, and Pat Symonds, former technical director, is only excluded from races for five years, but his advanced age might suggest he will never return. Nelson Piquet has been completely exonerated for his role in uncovering the affair. Fernando Alonso, who also attended the FIA World Council session in Paris last Monday, preferred to stay focused to achieve his first podium of the season a few days later in Singapore. A few hours later, and precisely in light of the Asian Grand Prix, the team’s new organizational chart was unveiled. Frenchman Jean-François Caubet takes the reins of Renault as general director until the end of the current season. Bob Bell replaces Symonds as technical director. The rumor of Alain Prost is very strong and could be confirmed from early 2010. Finally, while Renault did not need this, two major sponsors decided to abruptly terminate their contracts with the team on Thursday before the race weekend. These are ING and Mutua Madrinela, who consider this affair detrimental to the company’s image. In the hours that followed, the French manufacturer removed all the stickers from the R29s to display rather ’empty’ single-seaters during the Singapore Grand Prix.

Ferrari takes the lead by powering BMW
On a more positive note, the new team replacing BMW-Sauber, acquired by a relatively unknown Swiss company, has reached an agreement with Scuderia Ferrari to be equipped with Italian engines for next year. The only hiccup is that the FIA, which is not particularly opposed to the presence of a 14th team in 2010, must obtain approval from the 13 other teams. A decision is likely to be finalized by the end of 2009.
