The Brazilian driver Felipe Massa, who was seriously injured during the qualifying session for the Hungarian Grand Prix, is gradually recovering. He is currently undergoing intense rehabilitation in Brazil.
Ferrari, who still employs him, had recently confirmed his replacement until the end of the 2009 season by Giancarlo Fisichella. Massa will only be able to return to Formula 1 in 2010 if his recovery program is followed correctly and no issues affect his vision.
In the meantime, Massa will get back behind the wheel next November during a KART competition. Each season, he organizes an inter-professional drivers KART event for an association. In Florianopolis, Massa will take to the track from November 27 to 29, 2009, accompanied by some of his colleagues. The list has not yet been revealed.
