Following the recent events related to the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, the Renault F1 Team has reacted very quickly by establishing a new temporary management structure. This structure takes effect from today until the end of the 2009 season. This was announced in a statement by the team on its website.
The reorganization is as follows:
Bob Bell, currently Technical Director, will assume the role of Team Principal and Chief Technical Officer.
Jean-François Caubet, currently Director of Marketing and Communication, will take on the role of General Director.
Bob Bell and Jean-François Caubet will report directly to Bernard Rey, President of Renault F1 Team.
Bob Bell will be present at all the races until the end of the season and he will be the spokesperson for the team regarding all sporting and technical matters.
The Renault F1 Team is now ready to focus on the future and wishes to clarify that no further comments or statements will be issued regarding the events related to the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix.
