Rossi and Gutierrez testing with BMW!

The BMW-Sauber team has confirmed that it will test former Formula BMW drivers, Alexander Rossi and Esteban Gutierrez in December.

Although having announced that it will leave Formula 1 at the end of the season, the German team confirmed on Friday that it will honor its commitments to both drivers.

The American, Alexander Rossi, got his chance to drive a F1 car after winning the Formula BMW World Final last year.

The Mexican, Esteban Gutierrez, won the 2007 Rookie of the Year title in the Formula BMW series in America.

« Even though we announced our departure from Formula 1 this week, we will honor our commitments to talented young Formula BMW drivers, » said BMW Motorsport director, Mario Theissen.

« Thus, we are excited to bring a unique experience in F1 to two Formula BMW graduates. »
