Welcome to the 10th round of the Formula One World Championship, the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring circuit near Budapest. After two rather cool races, the question is how hot it will be since this location is traditionally hot and humid.
It was very hot today, Thursday, despite some cloud cover. The ambient temperature reached 36 degrees Celsius. The weather will remain partly cloudy for the rest of the weekend, with temperatures decreasing over the three days: 33, 27, and then 26 degrees.
The 4.381-kilometer circuit remains unchanged from last year with just a few additional rough strips added to turns five, eight, and nine. There is also a new barrier on the wall to the right after turn 14.
The race will take place over 70 laps, or 306.458 kilometers. It will start at 2:00 PM local time, which will be the same time in France.
