For several weeks, Williams has been in top form with very good results in the recent races, mainly with Nico Rosberg. For example, at the last German Grand Prix, he finished in a magnificent 4th place. It is true that his teammate is struggling more and has yet to score any points. His future may be in question.
For now, let’s turn to the Hungarian race, one of the favorites for drivers. They are looking forward to the very hot temperatures expected. This will result in the tires heating up faster. A boon for the team since it’s their weak point…
Nico Rosberg – Racing Driver
« The Hungaroring is a completely different circuit compared to the Nurburgring. It is very slow and winding, and there needs to be maximum downforce, which should suit our car. It will certainly be hotter there than in Germany. Therefore, tire warm-up should be easier. Traditionally, Williams has always had good results in Budapest, and I hope that will be the case this year.
Kazuki Nakajima – Racing Driver
The Hungaroring is probably one of my favorite circuits on the calendar. It will be a tough challenge due to the temperatures in the country at this time of year. It’s a very slow track, somewhat like Monaco with very slow or medium-speed corners. Overtaking will be difficult because there aren’t many long straights. Qualifying will therefore be very important. I think we will be competitive. I know that Budapest is a beautiful city but I have never really visited it due to lack of time.
