Danica Patrick rules out any move to Formula 1 for the moment despite speculation about her joining the new USF1 team.
The IndyCar driver, whose contract with Andretti Green Racing expires at the end of this season, is evaluating her options for 2010.
She could choose to stay in IndyCar or move to Nascar, but it seems that she has ruled out the F1 route.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, she was asked if her options were leaning towards a specific category and she replied: « I would probably say not F1. »
USF1 has made it clear that it wants American drivers for next year, but the team claims that Patrick has not been in contact with them.
« I had the opportunity to take one more step towards Formula 1. It’s not in my heart to go there. I particularly love being here in America, and I love my family and friends. I love my comfort in my home country, » she stated.
