The deputy technical director of the Brawn GP team, Jörg Zander, has just left the team.
The German joined him during his time at Honda in July 2007 after having worked at BAR-Honda, Williams, and BMW-Sauber.
Zander played a crucial role in the design and development of the Brawn BGP 001, which won six of the first eight races of the season.
A spokesperson for Brawn GP confirmed that Zander left the team last Friday.
« Jörg [Zander] contributed significantly to our success since the start of the season. This is why we want to thank him and wish him all the best for the future. »
This departure would undoubtedly be with the goal of going to lead an incoming team in 2010. Zander has reportedly been contacted by USF1 and Manor GP.
More information in the coming weeks.
