As every year now, Force India had a very good race in Monaco. A 9th place was secured, but it’s still not enough for points. This weekend in Turkey, the team will try to consolidate its achievements rather than make new developments.

Adrian Sutil and Giancarlo Fisichella will be in the starting blocks to ensure that their team is in the midfield rather than at the back.

Adrian Sutil – Racing Driver

« We need to be very realistic about our performance for this weekend. We have to keep the pressure on and try to have another qualifying session with the same level of competitiveness. I love this Istanbul track where you can overtake without any issues. So I hope we will have some good battles with the aim of moving forward towards the front of the pack. I think we are strong contenders in the midfield, even though we need to reach the checkered flag to see where we stand. »

Giancarlo Fisichella – Race Driver

« It’s a very physical track, you have a lot of adrenaline when you drive. I’ve had some good results in the past, including a fourth place in 2005. We don’t have many new developments. Once again, we have to keep the pressure on. I’d like to be in Q2 again, but we’ll know more after Friday. »

Vijay Mallya – President and Team Principal:

« We have a few new elements coming up, like on the front part and a small modification on the rear suspension. The rear wing used in Monaco will also undergo slight modifications depending on the downforce level in Istanbul. Our goal for Turkey should be to maintain this momentum rather than making significant progress. »
