The F1 teams under the aegis of the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) met yesterday, Wednesday, to discuss the deadline for submitting entries, Friday, May 29.
At the beginning of the week, following numerous meetings in Monaco over the weekend, no concrete results had been reached. This is why the next meeting was held yesterday in London.
The Williams team has positioned itself in opposition to the rest of the group by submitting its entry for next year. This move could lead other teams such as Brawn GP or Force India to submit applications, provoking the anger of other teams within the FOTA.
Precisely, the FOTA sent a letter to Max Mosley on the day of the Monaco Grand Prix.
« We have decided to indicate to President Mosley the points that still need to be clarified, » said Renault boss, Flavio Briatore to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
The important thing is that this document has been signed by the representatives of all the teams. I hope Max Mosley realizes our unity. We will see what happens, he added.
