Catch-up Session – Week No. 21

As every Monday since the beginning of the year, casinoenlignefrance.eu.com offers you an exclusive complete tour of the past week’s F1 news, summarized in an article. On the program, the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix, the sixth round of the 2009 World Championship which saw another Brawn one-two and the return of Scuderia Ferrari, but also the affair between the FIA and this same Ferrari team. Indeed, both parties ended up in court last week. The desire of several teams not to participate in the 2010 season continues to cause ripples mainly between Ecclestone and Ferrari. Finally, as the deadline for submitting applications for 2010 approaches, two teams have submitted their registration requests.

A Monaco GP marked by a growing ‘Brawnmania’!

Under a sky perfectly matching the azure blue of the Mediterranean Sea, the Monaco race took place this weekend. In the presence of the royal family and numerous celebrities like George Lucas, Josh Hartnett, and James Blunt, Brawn GP demonstrated its strength once again on Saturday during qualifying, securing 1st and 3rd place. An even more dazzling result in the race as Button claimed his fifth trophy of the year ahead of teammate Barrichello. A Brawn frenzy is beginning to set in the paddocks, to the point that Geri Halliwell, former Spice Girl, present at the circuit on Sunday, declared: “I love Ferrari, but this time I’m rooting for Jenson [Button], who is amazing. It’s his turn now. He should fully enjoy this!” This ‘Brawnmania’ somewhat overshadowed the performances of Scuderia Ferrari, as Räikkönen and Massa secured 3rd and 4th place. Webber for Red Bull claimed 4 points for 5th place, while Rosberg (Williams) and Alonso (Renault) took 6th and 7th. Finally, Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais, just a few kilometers from his homeland, brought the point for 8th position to Toro Rosso.

Ecclestone is ready to do anything to keep Ferrari in 2010
