Monaco GP: Williams still seeking a good result

Races come and go, and they always seem the same for the Williams team. Led by Nico Rosberg, the free practice sessions always go very well, especially the second session! But during qualifying, the excitement fades, and inevitably in the race, it’s difficult to score big points. Therefore, it’s usually the 7th and 8th places that the Grove team can claim. In Monaco, the team wants to change this, and they need to, as it will be almost impossible to overtake once in the race.

Note that Rosberg is at home being a resident of the Monegasque Rock and that Nakajima will keep his distance from all kinds of social events!

Nico Rosberg – Racing Driver

« The Spanish Grand Prix was not easy for us. We struggled to get the most out of the tires in qualifying on Saturday, and then I had a balance problem with the rear of the car during the race. As a result, we didn’t get the result we hoped for in Spain, but going home with a point is always positive. Monaco should be a good race for us. Our car has always performed very well here in the past. A good result here would be well-deserved for everyone on the team. »

« Monaco is my hometown with all my friends and family who will be there to support me. Living less than 100 meters from the track will make life much easier. »

Kazuki Nakajima – Racing Driver:

« Spain was another tough race for me. The incident on the first lap and the pit stops pushed me to the back of the pack. I hope to have a good car in Monaco, we are doing everything for it. Even though it’s not my favorite circuit, I feel good here, last year I went from 14th to 7th place and scored two points for the team. With the new regulations such as slick tires, I think it will be quite different. I just hope not to have an accident. »

I know I should be more enthusiastic about Monaco, but it’s just another track for me. The glitz and glamour aren’t for me.
