Sebastian Vettel has a speed bump painted in the colors of bees at Suzuka
Sebastian Vettel is one of the strong supporters of planet protection and the fight against climate change. During his last season, he also strongly wanted to protect bees. Here is his latest action, in Suzuka as a prelude to the Japanese Grand Prix.
As the [Grand Prix of Japan](/f1/season-2023/grand-prix-japan) takes place this weekend in Suzuka, Sebastian Vettel, four-time Formula 1 champion and recent retiree, gathered the drivers and the paddock to present his latest initiative in favor of bee protection.
Sebastian Vettel has thus had a rumble strip repainted on the Suzuka circuit in yellow and black instead of the classic white and red at Suzuka, the colors of Japan.
(This project aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting biodiversity,” explains Sebastian Vettel. (The rumble strip is painted in the colors of bees because they are the perfect ambassadors for this project. It is not just for bees but also for other insects. The beehives are positioned a little further away, and the drivers will be there with me.)

Many drivers thus gathered with Vettel on Thursday morning at Suzuka to go and sign the beehives that were installed earlier at Suzuka within the circuit area.
